Senior E&I Commissioning Engineer

Nexos is seeking a highly skilled Senior E&I Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen. This is a contract requirement with occasional site visits.

As a Senior E&I Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing HSE leadership and collaborating with contractors and company teams to ensure compliance with company expectations.
  • Attending site meetings and participating in risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Responding to engineering site queries and liaising with contractors to clarify design requirements.
  • Providing engineering assistance to construction teams.
  • Reviewing and accepting contractor-supplied procedures and activities for the installation of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Witnessing and accepting site acceptance tests to ensure equipment meets specifications.
  • Implementing, executing, and completing discipline work-scopes detailed in Commissioning Test Procedures.
  • Ensuring vendors are utilized effectively when mobilized.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent through experience.
  • Relevant trade discipline or NVQ/SVQ/HNC/HND qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience in commissioning and pre-commissioning.
  • Excellent knowledge of pre-commissioning and commissioning practices and workflows.
  • Understanding of Risk Assessments (RA) and Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPS).
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented personality to interface with Construction and Operations Teams.
