Group Accounting Manager

Job Summary:
Altum Consulting is partnering with a global consulting firm to recruit an experienced Group Accountant. This role is for an initial 12-month period to support across business-as-usual (BAU) and merger projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with mid-year audit activities relating to recent merger and acquisition transactions.
- Production of weekly key financial information reports for senior leadership team (SLT) to inform strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to the delivery of month-end group consolidation and reporting to a five working day deadline.
- Analytical review of monthly results to understand trends, significant transactions, and identify errors.
- Assist in improving the control environment of the Group, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Review and improve internal controls across the Group, implementing changes as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/CA) with practical experience working in large complex groups.
- Excellent knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Ability to discuss technical accounting issues with senior leadership team.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
