Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at ISS Group Holdings Limited. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to the business, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and contributing to the development of financial policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review monthly actuals reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Group accounting policies.
- Assist in the implementation of new IFRS requirements and regulatory changes, ensuring the business is prepared to meet these requirements by deadline.
- Support the Global Accounting team in the development of Group accounting policies, ensuring they evolve with the business and driving adherence globally.
- Contribute to the roll-out of a robust Financial Accounting and Reporting control environment, adhering to Inchcape Group policies and embedding best practice across the business.
- Work directly with the external audit team, providing high-quality information to ensure the audit is completed on time.
- Prepare accurate and timely annual UK statutory consolidated and single entity financial accounts.
- Provide best-in-class technical accounting advice to the business through written technical accounting papers.
- Support the identification and mitigation of accounting risks across the Group.
- Educate and advise the business on how to use the accounting systems.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis as required by the Global teams.
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS, consolidation, and statutory accounting.
- Experience as a financial auditor, having been involved in both control and substantive group audits and financial risk management.
- Good command of the English language (oral and written).
- Auditing experience of a group consolidation system.
- Experience of the shipping agency industry (desirable).
- Knowledge of Hyperion & Unit 4 Financials (desirable).
- Experience in working on a GL accounting system (desirable).
- Project management experience (desirable).
- University degree in finance, accountancy, business.
- Qualified and Registered Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CA(SA) (or equivalent)).
