Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer to become a vital part of our London team. Our firm is recognized for its involvement in significant residential projects and various other developments, including educational and healthcare facilities. In this role, you will be tasked with:
- Evaluating structural loads, selecting appropriate materials, and crafting resilient designs.
- Collaborating with colleagues to enhance precast design solutions and coordinating with fabricators to ensure accurate delivery of fabrication details.
- Working autonomously while receiving limited oversight.
- Managing diverse project types, including client interactions, financial oversight, and quality assurance.
- Supervising junior engineers and technicians in the preparation of design and project documentation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The perfect candidate will possess:
- Practical experience in refurbishment projects, including the evaluation of existing structures, proposing modifications, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
- Expertise in designing steel and reinforced concrete structures, along with experience in mentoring junior engineers and technicians.
- Knowledge of precast concrete frameworks is a plus.
- Active participation in a recognized professional institution's training pathway, with a goal of achieving chartered status.
