Job Title: Locum Consultant in Neurology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurology Consultant to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
  • On GMC Specialist Register for specialty / Specialty Registrar with CCT / CESR(Combined Programme) due within 3 months of interview date
  • Broad training and experience in General Neurology
  • Sub-specialty interest (in particular in Headache or Epilepsy)
  • Evidence of effective team and multidisciplinary working
  • Effective and demonstrable communication skills in written and spoken English, adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues
  • Evidence of participation in clinical audit and understanding role of audit in improving medical practice
  • Evidence of proactive engagement with appraisal and revalidation
  • Ability to critically appraise research
  • Evidence of teaching medical students and junior doctors
  • Evidence of effective leadership skills
Requirements:
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
  • On GMC Specialist Register for specialty / Specialty Registrar with CCT / CESR(Combined Programme) due within 3 months of interview date
  • Broad training and experience in General Neurology
