Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurology Consultant to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hold Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
  • Be on the GMC Specialist Register for specialty or have CCT/CESR(Combined Programme) due within 3 months of interview date.
  • Have broad training and experience in General Neurology.
  • Have a sub-specialty interest, particularly in Headache or Epilepsy.
  • Demonstrate effective team and multidisciplinary working.
  • Have effective and demonstrable communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Participate in clinical audit and understand the role of audit in improving medical practice.
  • Engage proactively with appraisal and revalidation.
  • Critically appraise research.
  • Teach medical students and junior doctors.
  • Display effective leadership skills.
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
  • On GMC Specialist Register for specialty or have CCT/CESR(Combined Programme) due within 3 months of interview date.
