Role Responsibilities
The Agency Sales Director will take charge of the strategic growth and revenue enhancement of a designated agency territory, while also educating agencies and clients on achieving their marketing goals.
This position is suited for individuals who believe in the positive impact of media and are eager to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly evolving business environment. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in digital sales, particularly in programmatic, and a proven history of driving new business.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Taking ownership of quarterly and annual revenue targets, managing the sales pipeline, and driving growth within your assigned agency territory.
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with media agencies and their clientele.
- Promoting unique insights and ethical advertising solutions to enhance revenue by fostering, maintaining, and developing partnerships with agency stakeholders.
- Collaborating with communications planning teams, strategic planners, client partners, and media buyers to create impactful advertising campaigns and alliances.
- Engaging in consultative brand selling, educating and motivating your agency network to meet their business objectives.
- Providing mentorship to junior sales team members.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial advertising, either at a brand, agency, or in a media/online sales capacity (knowledge of the UK agency landscape is essential).
- A comprehensive understanding of the digital ecosystem and programmatic media.
- Experience in direct sales to media agencies and clients.
- Exceptional negotiation skills, with the ability to sell consultatively, present effectively, and demonstrate resilience in closing deals.
- Proven ability to build a sales pipeline and consistently exceed revenue targets.
- Proficient in creating reports and presentations using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote.
- A collaborative team player who adapts well to change and maintains a positive outlook.
- Able to operate in a fast-paced environment, working across various teams to deliver innovative and creative campaigns.
- Understanding of purpose-driven initiatives, sustainability, and ESG principles within the media sector.
- Some experience in management or mentorship roles.
Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position based out of a central office.
