Role Overview

As a ServiceNow Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing customized applications and workflows within the ServiceNow platform. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop innovative applications and modules using the ServiceNow platform, encompassing ITSM, ITOM, and ITBM functionalities.
  • Customize existing ServiceNow applications, facilitating the rollout of new features and modules. Configure user interfaces (UI) and workflows to optimize user experience.
  • Develop and configure integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems, leveraging web services, APIs, and integration tools.
  • Design and develop intuitive and responsive ServiceNow Service Portals and Knowledge Management portals.
  • Customize portal widgets and themes to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, ensuring that portals meet business objectives and user needs.
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and optimization of ServiceNow applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues and defects within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Work effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other developers to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful implementation and deployment.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all customizations, configurations, and integrations.
  • Adhere to best practices, compliance standards, and company policies in the development and implementation of ServiceNow solutions.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in a senior role within software development.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API).
  • Experience with ServiceNow UI customization, including UI pages, UI macros, and UI scripts.
  • Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, AngularJS).
  • Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services.
  • Familiarity with database technologies, particularly relational databases (MySQL, Oracle).
  • Understanding of the ITIL framework and IT service management processes.
