Chemical Safety Manager

Our client, a reputable Structural Steel company based near the Derbyshire/Northamptonshire border, is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to ensure that all operational activities are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant legislation.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide expert advice on health and safety legislation to management and represent the company in interactions with regulatory bodies.
- Prepare for health and safety audits, identify hazards and risks in the workplace, and ensure the health and safety management system is well-managed.
- Investigate incidents, manage findings, and strive to improve safety, working closely with external advisors.
- Provide guidance on health and safety-related training and produce reports.
- Liaise with the Quality and Environmental Manager and conduct health and safety inductions.
- Manage departmental budgets.
To be successful in this role, the candidate should have in-depth health and safety knowledge and experience in steel, construction, manufacturing, or engineering. The ability to work autonomously and carry out inspections is also essential.
