Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role involves performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on intricate mechanical control systems that support the various building services within our organization.

Qualifications Required:

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess one of the following:

  • A recognized time-served apprenticeship
  • City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering/Plumbing
  • BTEC (ONC) in Engineering or higher

Compensation and Benefits:

This role offers additional benefits, including RRP, overtime, call-out, and on-call payments, providing earning potential exceeding £40,000.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex trade tasks within your specialty to support the overall output of the team.
  • Assist in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all engineering equipment on-site.
  • Respond to equipment failures, executing repairs promptly to restore service.
  • Prepare for inspections by the Trust's pressure vessel insurers.
  • Manage the safe isolation of equipment during malfunctions or breakdowns.
  • Work on various air-conditioning systems and be knowledgeable about belt drives, pulleys, and pumps.
  • Perform minor installations and electrical work related to mechanical systems.
