Job Title: Building Services Maintenance Engineer

Location: Nuffield Health Hertford Fitness & Wellbeing Centre

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 Hours)

Salary: £34,000 (DOE)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Services Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Nuffield Health Hertford Fitness & Wellbeing Centre. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our building services, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on building services, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures or leaks, in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless delivery of services and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of building services.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying knowledge to improve our facilities and services.
  • Work closely with the facilities manager to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, reporting any incidents or near-misses to the relevant authorities.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in building services maintenance, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
