About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our dynamic team at HMP Berwyn. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing specialist mental health care to individuals within the custodial environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Provide direct clinical interventions and support to service users with a range of mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, social workers, and correctional staff.
  • Supervise and mentor junior members of the team, fostering their professional development.
  • Contribute to the ongoing review and development of mental health services within the prison setting.
