About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Surrey Heath Locality team on a full-time permanent basis. Alternatively, we would consider applicants for a part-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct holistic assessments of social care needs and plan support across a dedicated caseload.
  • Work closely with families, carers, and care workers to support individuals with diverse backgrounds and needs.
  • Develop and implement person-centred and proportionate OT assessments.
  • Familiarity with moving and handling equipment, such as hoists and stand aids.
  • Knowledge of medical conditions and their impact on individuals, carers, and families.
  • Stay up-to-date with current legislation, including the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act, and apply this knowledge in practice.
Requirements
  • Professional qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working in a social care, health, or community-focused multi-disciplinary setting.
  • Ability to complete person-centred and proportionate OT assessments.
  • Familiarity with moving and handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of medical conditions and their impact.
  • Substantial post-qualification professional experience and experience of providing professional supervision.
