About the Opportunity

We are collaborating with a reputable business to recruit a Senior Payroll Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to make a meaningful impact within a busy payroll department during a crucial period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately process payroll for 2,400 employees, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Support the Payroll Manager in the day-to-day operations of the payroll department, particularly during project implementation.
  • Collaborate on payroll-related projects, bringing your expertise to improve processes and systems.
  • Ensure payroll reports, reconciliations, and submissions are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain and update payroll data within the Cascade system, ensuring data integrity.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to payroll queries from employees.
  • Stay current on payroll legislation, ensuring the company remains compliant throughout the contract period.
Candidate Profile
  • Extensive experience in payroll processing, ideally with large payrolls (1,000+ employees).
  • Proficiency with the Cascade payroll system.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of current payroll legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
