Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Hernshead Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating engineering solutions on a variety of projects, with a focus on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop new mechanical systems, including structural components, using 3D CAD software and producing detail drawings to BS8888.
- Manage projects from concept design to in-service investigation, including progress monitoring and presenting engineering output to stakeholders.
- Provide design support throughout product manufacture, assembly, and testing, including the management of product manufacturing documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and ensure design for manufacture.
- Travel nationally and internationally as required to support project delivery.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, with a strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present engineering output to stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, including Inventor, CATIA, and Solidworks.
- A full driving license is required.
