Lead Cancer Care Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Cancer Care Nurse to join our team at Leaders in Care. As a Community Chemotherapy Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in their own homes across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct blood tests and toxicity assessments to ensure patient safety and optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Administer IV and oral chemotherapy, as well as perform pump disconnections and line care, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Work independently in the community while staying connected with the wider nursing team to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and therapies to provide the best possible care to patients.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative care models that prioritize patient-centered care and excellence in oncology nursing.
Package and Benefits:
  • Annual salary up to £43,000, negotiable based on experience.
  • Use of a company car or an extra £4850 car allowance.
  • Mainly work Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and bank holiday on-call duties.
