Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Management Specialist to become a part of our dynamic team at Oakridge Recruitment Ltd. In this role, you will oversee all financial aspects related to construction projects, ensuring that they are executed within budgetary constraints while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates and financial plans for various construction initiatives.
- Conduct thorough feasibility assessments to determine material, labor, and time requirements.
- Analyze and assess contractor bids and proposals for accuracy and competitiveness.
- Track and report on project expenditures and progress throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Engage in negotiations with suppliers and contractors to achieve optimal pricing.
- Compile and present detailed progress reports to project stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to all contractual obligations and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in a Quantity Surveyor role or similar capacity.
- In-depth understanding of construction techniques, materials, and industry regulations.
- Expertise in budget management and cost control methodologies.
- Strong analytical and numerical capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
This position is with a reputable national contractor managing projects ranging from 350k to 3 million.
