About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Communications Senior Officer to join our team at Tameside Council. As a key member of our Communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to engage with our stakeholders and promote our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a range of communication materials, including content for our website and intranet, promotional materials, newsletters, and social media.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and accuracy in our communication outputs.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to queries and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Analyse data and feedback to inform our communication strategies and improve our services.
  • Work closely with our Communications and Engagement Section Manager to develop and implement our communication plans.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and presentational skills.
  • Excellent written skills and ability to write engaging content.
  • Ability to collect and analyse data and feedback.
  • Passion for ensuring excellent customer service and outcomes are delivered.
