About the Role

Mencap is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in the Spalding Area. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live independently and participate in their local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with daily activities, including budget management, paying bills, and cooking healthy meals.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the people we support, promoting their understanding of the world around them.
  • Assist individuals to access and participate in their local community and social events, promoting life skills and individuality.
  • Provide personal care, including prompting individuals to take their medication and assisting with bathing, showering, and using the bathroom.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
