Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head Chef in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals and snacks, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.
  • Assist with menu planning, stock management, and ordering supplies.
  • Maintain food safety checks and records, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the Activities Team to cater for special events and functions.
  • Manage budgets and oversee employee supervisions, ensuring timely completion.
  • Rota scheduling and ensuring all equipment and food service areas are kept clean and in excellent working condition.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a care setting.
  • Qualifications in catering and food safety/hygiene.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good time management and problem-solving skills.
