This role involves leading and inspiring the team while delivering outstanding service that meets our high standards. You will oversee financial and administrative duties, ensuring asset protection and effective communication with all stakeholders involved in event success. Identifying training needs and strategizing to meet objectives will also be key responsibilities.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Overseeing Event Operations

  • Anticipates supply requirements for the department, including tableware, glassware, and presentation materials.
  • Maintains knowledge of all relevant regulations pertaining to events.
  • Recognizes the influence of event operations on overall success and manages activities to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Upholds and reinforces all operational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with established sanitation standards.
  • Manages inventory and maintains equipment effectively.
  • Utilizes beverage records to control costs and manage inventory.
  • Schedules service staff to align with service standards while optimizing profitability.
  • Cultivates long-term relationships with clients to foster business retention and growth.

Leading Event Teams

  • Establishes objectives and delegates tasks to enhance departmental performance.
  • Conducts regular team meetings to discuss progress and strategies.
  • Expands knowledge of culinary pairings and contemporary event trends.
  • Acts as a liaison between service and kitchen staff.
  • Leads by example during events and participates in service as needed.

Delivering Exceptional Guest Service

  • Sets a standard for guest relations and service excellence.
  • Engages with guests to gather feedback on service quality.
  • Addresses and resolves guest concerns and complaints effectively.
  • Empowers team members to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Ensures team members are aware of expectations and service parameters.
  • Strives for continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Reviews guest feedback and satisfaction metrics with the team.

Conducting Human Resources Activities

  • Communicates and implements emergency procedures and ensures staff training in safety protocols.
  • Observes and provides feedback on employee service behaviors.
  • Monitors team progress and leads discussions on performance.
  • Participates in developing and executing corrective action plans.
  • Reviews feedback from client surveys and collaborates on improvement strategies.
