Job Title: SEN Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Tutor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As an SEN Tutor, you will work with children who require additional support and guidance outside of mainstream schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one tuition to children with special educational needs in a supportive and engaging environment.
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Work with children in their homes or local areas, such as libraries, to provide face-to-face educational sessions.
  • Assess and plan tuition sessions to ensure the child's learning needs are met.
  • Manage and implement behavior strategies to keep children engaged and motivated.

Requirements:

  • A relevant teaching qualification (QTS or at least two years of teaching experience).
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) or SEMH.
  • Ability to assess and plan tuition sessions.
  • Enthusiasm, engagement, and resilience.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children in a tuition capacity.
  • Experience working with challenging behavior.
  • Good understanding of Special Educational Needs or willingness to learn.
