We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Ward Manager within our Forensic Care Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the operational management of our in-patient ward areas and will work in partnership with the Multidisciplinary Team to provide high-quality care for our service users.
Key Responsibilities- Effective day-to-day delivery of forensic mental health ward services within the designated team area.
- Day-to-day management of resources and staff employed by both SWYPFT and integrated partners with agreed permissions framework.
- Ensuring the delivery of quality forensic mental health services.
We are looking for an individual with advanced knowledge and proven ability in current mental health practice and national policy and guidance. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills that foster good working relationships and understanding in others.
- Able to undertake and meet the key results areas for the post.
- Has advanced knowledge and proven ability in current mental health practice and national policy and guidance.
- Able to exercise leadership by personal example, demonstrating respect, openness and reliability, and able to foster these characteristics within the team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills that foster good working relationships and understanding in others.
We are a specialist NHS Foundation Trust that provides community, mental health and learning disability services for the people of Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. We also provide low and medium secure services and are the lead for the west Yorkshire secure provider collaborative.
