Ward Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ward Manager to join our team at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day delivery of forensic mental health ward services within the designated team area.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage resources and staff employed by both SWYPFT and integrated partners with agreed permissions framework.
- Ensure the delivery of quality forensic mental health services.
- Exercise leadership by personal example, demonstrating respect, openness, and reliability.
- Develop and implement strategies to resolve problems and improve services.
- Write evidence-based reports to support higher-level decision-making.
- Advanced knowledge and proven ability in current mental health practice and national policy and guidance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills that foster good working relationships and understanding in others.
- Able to implement and manage changes to internal systems to a reasonable conclusion.
- Able to analyse problems and identify and implement strategies that will resolve them.
- Able to work flexibly to manage a range of differing and sometimes conflicting demands.
- RMN / RN Mental Health, or DipSW / CQSW / CSS or OT.
- Relevant graduate qualification or equivalent.
- Mentorship qualification or equivalent.
- Practice Placement Educator.
