Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Ward Manager within our Forensic Care Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the operational management of in-patient wards and the delivery of high-quality forensic mental health services.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing a team of staff to deliver high-quality care to service users
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans to meet the needs of service users
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Monitoring and evaluating the quality of care delivered and implementing improvements as necessary
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in forensic mental health practice and national policy and guidance
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with service users, staff, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze problems and implement effective solutions
  • Knowledge and experience of clinical governance and quality improvement
