Role Summary

As a Production Operations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production team by fostering interdepartmental collaboration, resolving unexpected material issues, and coordinating with the finance department to manage inventory discrepancies. Your duties will encompass IT coordination, ensuring inventory accuracy, and utilizing SAP for effective production scheduling and stock management. Furthermore, you will oversee payroll activities, liaise with staffing agencies, and work closely with various teams to achieve production goals and enhance operational productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing orders through the TECO system.
  • Identifying and addressing any shortages or excess deliveries on process orders, reporting discrepancies to management and quality control.
  • Ensuring accurate entry of time for all process orders and making necessary adjustments for precise costing.
  • Monitoring unplanned material issues on production orders and coordinating with quality control and production teams as needed.
  • Regularly communicating with the finance department to address any queries regarding variances in production orders.
  • Meeting month-end deadlines in collaboration with finance.
  • Working with the quality control team to resolve material shortages and any critical control point inquiries.
  • Resolving interface issues between MES and SAP, including a thorough understanding of IDOC structures and locations within both systems.
  • Collaborating with IT to address any IDOC-related inaccuracies.
  • Correcting stock discrepancies as necessary, requiring a comprehensive understanding of on-site inventory.
  • Possessing knowledge of SAP and MES to manage stock requirements, alignments, movements, and shortages effectively.
  • Acting as a SAP super user, capable of logging IT tickets at various priority levels.
  • Managing payroll by inputting weekly figures for managers and sending month-end figures to HR.
  • Completing and submitting weekly time sheets for agency staff.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience with SAP; familiarity with MES is a plus.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Background in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
