Are you interested in joining the corporate credit division of a well-established international banking institution? CER Financial is collaborating with a reputable bank located in the west end, seeking a Corporate Lead Credit Risk Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.
The portfolio encompasses a diverse range of lending activities, including Project Finance, Commercial Real Estate, Corporate Lending, and some aspects of Private Banking.
Key Responsibilities of the Lead Credit Risk Analyst:
· Develop comprehensive written credit analysis reports for new lending proposals and conduct annual reviews to assess the credit risk associated with extending facilities to individuals, corporations, financial institutions, and public entities.
· Analyze financial statements, assess risks, and support the analysis with cash flow forecasts, culminating in the formulation of credit recommendations for complex credit scenarios.
· Prepare analytical reports that evaluate the risk levels in the provision of new credit facilities and the renewal of existing ones for banks and other financial entities.
· Ensure compliance with climate risk analysis guidelines.
· Promptly report any policy or procedure breaches and potential non-compliance issues, implementing controls to mitigate risks associated with policy, procedure, and regulatory breaches.
· Identify emerging risks and control gaps within the designated area.
· Conduct political and economic analyses of assigned countries, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of specific industries to prepare relevant studies on economic trends and assess industry risks.
· Review Management Information System (MIS) reports generated for the department to ensure effective exception controls.
· Liaise with banks, trade and credit agencies, and other entities to gather credit information.
· Maintain and update borrower information files.
· Adhere to departmental quality standards regarding service level agreements and actively participate in efforts to enhance these standards.
Qualifications for the Lead Credit Risk Analyst:
· A degree in a relevant field is preferred.
· A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate credit analysis.
