At BRC, we are seeking a skilled Floating Youth Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support to children and young people in need.
Key Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively with district councils, housing providers, and other partners to promote our service and encourage referrals for children and young people.
- Engage with children, young people, and their families to ensure they are aware of our service and its benefits.
- Establish positive relationships with children and young people to secure meaningful engagement and understand their needs.
- Maintain relationships with children and young people not yet ready to participate fully in our service.
- Work creatively to capture the voices of children and young people and ensure participation and co-production are core aspects of our service.
- Explore opportunities for talents and interests to be developed using local resources.
- Facilitate group-based practitioner and peer-led support groups.
- Ensure a good level of support to children, young people, and families, including onward referral to other agencies where necessary.
- Implement specified evaluation tools and techniques to accurately evidence the impact of our service.
- Keep clear, accurate records and provide required monitoring and evaluation information and progress reports.
- Attend monthly supervision for quality assurance and personal development purposes.
- DBS within the last 12 months.
- Experience working with children and young people.
- Driver with own car.
- Experience working with domestic violence victims.
