About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our Property Maintenance Team at Tesco. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our stores and distribution centers by performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, replacements, and adjustments to equipment and systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex issues with equipment and systems, using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve maintenance efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance overall performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve maintenance skills and knowledge.

  • Completed all technical training upskilling modules relevant to skillset
  • Bricklaying & Masonry
  • Roof construction and maintenance
  • Cement / Concrete preparation
  • Groundworks & Paving
  • Tiling and Flooring
  • Plastering & Dry walling
  • Relevant Experience: Completion of a Recognised Apprenticeship or Improver Programme or Trade Proficiency Test
  • Bricklayer C&G 6217, 6314, 6619, 6219, 6570, 6715 or NVQ or equivalent or B/TEC ONC/HNC Construction and the Built environment
  • Digitally confident; can comfortably operate mobile phone and tablets to view workload, emails, teams, and use of business systems
