Role Summary
Wright Staff Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Machining Specialist to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the production of precision components, ensuring that all manufacturing processes meet or exceed established timelines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machinery utilizing Fanuc and Heidenhain control systems.
- Accurately set up fixtures and components to establish work datums.
- Ensure compliance with engineering drawings and operational standards.
- Follow established processes and tooling specifications diligently.
- Build and select appropriate tooling for various components.
- Maintain high-quality standards by utilizing various measurement tools for quality checks.
- Produce precision parts with a focus on low batch volumes.
- Effectively manage time to ensure on-time delivery of components.
- Identify material requirements for upcoming jobs.
- Create machining offsets for tooling as necessary.
- Submit initial parts for quality verification.
- Deburr components to meet quality expectations using appropriate tools.
- Maintain cleanliness of parts throughout the manufacturing process.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of route cards.
- Actively participate as a team player, contributing to problem-solving efforts.
- Engage in SQDCP meetings relevant to assigned areas.
- Monitor production performance to align with planned timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Communicate any issues regarding production quality within designated areas.
- Assist the Manufacturing Group Leader in enhancing the organization of workspaces and machinery.
- Attend and contribute to progress meetings as required.
- Ensure the correct materials and documentation are utilized in the production of components.
- Prepare tools and offsets for personal operations and assist colleagues as needed.
- Adhere to delivery schedules and ensure compliance with routing requirements.
General Expectations
All activities must be conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations. It is essential to approach all tasks ethically, considering the needs of others and the effective use of company resources.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient understanding of engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace.
