Job Title: Finance Director/ Business Unit Controller

Job Summary:

The Finance Director/ Business Unit Controller is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing financial reporting, the finance function, and IT across the AMETEK Airtechnology Group. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive financial growth, improve working capital performance, and optimize revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the DVP BU Manager/ MD and wider leadership team to deliver KPIs and transform the business.
  • Ensure financial statement accuracy and IT support across locations, including the UK, Serbia, and India.
  • Provide management with financial reports, adhering to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing calendars and processes.
  • Make strategic recommendations via sound analyses to optimize revenue growth and improve working capital performance.
  • Maintain an effective internal control environment to ensure continued control and protection of assets and accurate reporting of financial position.
  • Work proactively and collaboratively with business unit functional leaders to solve problems and advise on how business actions may affect financials.
  • Provide strategic and technical guidance in the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of business accounts, including statutory accounts.
  • Monitor payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, and cost accounting functions to ensure process controls are efficient and effective.
  • Ensure proper financial and IT compliance across the organization, including internal controls (US Sarbanes Oxley 404 (SOX)) and cyber security.
  • Act as primary financial interface between Airtechnology and the Aerospace & Defence Division and Corporate.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, develop, and lead finance department staff and conduct annual performance evaluations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance is required.
  • 7+ years of experience in general and/or plant accounting, including an understanding of forecasting, budgeting, costing, and inventory control.
  • 5+ years of proven ability to lead a financial team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technical accounting, including Revenue Recognition.
  • Exposure to and/or involvement with US GAAP financial reporting.
