We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join Holden Jones Ltd's team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will involve managing financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting operations across four business units.
Responsibilities
---------------
* Oversee the submission of monthly Management Accounts to group head office
* Control and manage month-end journal posting, including WIP, prepayments, and accruals
* Ensure accurate Balance Sheet Reconciliations
* Produce monthly analysis reports
* Coordinate intercompany balance reconciliation and repayment
* Submit VAT returns
* Manage the submission of month-end statutory accounts onto consolidation software
* Oversee the half-year review and year-end statutory audits
* Prepare annual budgets in collaboration with Business Unit Directors
* Supervise, manage, and mentor the finance team
Requirements
------------
* Previous experience in a similar role, overseeing the finance function
* Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and solid IT skills
* Experience with Sage and advanced user of Microsoft Excel
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
