About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust. As a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to a multi-professional team and liaise with a wide variety of agencies.
  • Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training, and participate in continuous professional development.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and guidelines, and participate in clinical audit and quality improvement programmes.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
Requirements
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry OR within six months of gaining CCT.
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within three months of appointment.
  • Excellent knowledge in specialty, excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
