As Arm-based technology continues to integrate into various sectors such as IoT, automotive, personal computing, cloud services, and high-performance computing, it is essential for academic developers to maximize the potential of the extensive Arm ecosystem.

Position Overview:

The Arm Education and Academic Engagements team collaborates with a diverse array of industrial and academic stakeholders. We are currently in search of an ecosystem development manager who possesses expertise in embedded systems, SoC implementation, and academic collaborations. This role aims to harness partnerships on a large scale to facilitate successful initiatives. Our objective is to simplify and enhance the experience of working with energy-efficient computing solutions. You will be part of a varied team that prioritizes user-centric approaches, including specialists in publishing and program management dedicated to engaging with developers at large.

Your responsibilities will include addressing engineering challenges and formulating a strategic roadmap for products, services, and resources that support both software and hardware development communities. The primary focus of this role is to exert influence at scale, engaging with the academic sector and leveraging network effects whenever feasible.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with technical teams, program managers, and global academic partners to identify the needs of academic users.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce barriers for embedded and SoC developers to thrive using Arm technology, leveraging partnerships as a default strategy.
  • Foster and cultivate academic communities of practice in education and research, aligning with the interests of both academia and industry.
  • Set a positive example and motivate others to create and maintain technical documentation and develop technology demonstrations that support the growth of relevant developer communities.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with embedded systems and SoC development.
  • Experience in ecosystem management or academic engagement within the technology sector.
  • Exceptional abstract reasoning abilities, with a knack for focusing on critical concepts across various levels of detail.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical audiences at different seniority levels.
  • Proficient in technical writing and developing technology demonstrations, along with managing and engaging with stakeholders across varying levels.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a distributed team.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in software-hardware co-design and optimizing software tasks for hardware, particularly Arm-based solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in creating scalable interventions and platforms that effectively bridge the gap between academia and industry.
