Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Veterans Lighting. Inc. dba Veterans Electrical Solutions. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance tasks on a wide range of heavy production machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform reactive and pre-planned electrical maintenance on heavy production machinery
  • Carry out fault finding on PLCs, including Siemens S5/S7
  • Work on a range of 3-phase machinery, including Induction furnaces, Automated Casting lines, Milling, Rolling, Annealing, Pickling and Slitting lines, conveyors, pump systems, AC DC motors, contactors, relays, switches, sensors, solenoids, distribution boards, inverters, and overhead cranes
  • Participate in continuous improvement project work and facilities maintenance as required

Requirements:

  • Apprentice trained, time served, or equivalent experience
  • 18th Edition qualification advantageous
  • Experience working in heavier industries, such as metal works, steel works/steel processing facilities, foundries, or brickworks
