About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Wells & Co Managed. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and motivate a team of chefs to achieve exceptional results and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
    • Develop and implement effective kitchen management systems to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service.
  • Culinary Excellence
    • Develop and maintain a menu that showcases our culinary expertise and meets the expectations of our customers.
    • Source and procure high-quality ingredients and supplies to support our culinary operations.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene
    • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Team Development and Training
    • Identify and develop the skills and abilities of junior chefs to support their career development and growth.
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior chefs to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Experience and Qualifications
    • Proven experience as a Head Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
    • Relevant culinary qualifications and certifications, such as a culinary degree or professional certification.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of chefs.
    • Strong culinary skills and knowledge, with the ability to develop and maintain a menu that showcases our culinary expertise.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners.
