Job Title: Lecturer in Hairdressing

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lecturer in Hairdressing to join our team at Gi Group. As a Lecturer in Hairdressing, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and assessment to students on a range of courses and learning programmes.

Main Duties:
  • Teach and assess students on level 1-3 barbering/hairdressing courses
  • Deliver evening courses and some weekend work, as well as involvement in competition work
  • Help deliver on school links and undertake administrative tasks associated with the role
  • Prepare students for higher levels of study and develop specific vocational work and employability skills
  • Provide pre and on-course guidance to support learners through to successful outcomes
Requirements:
  • Minimum level 3 in hairdressing and/or barbering
  • Ability to deliver to students at all levels and abilities, using flexible and innovative methods of delivery
  • Experience in transferring practical experience into useful learning activities
  • Assessors award qualification and internal quality assurance qualification
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people receiving education and training
