Plant Fitter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Plant Fitter to join our team in a workshop-based role in the Ruislip area of West London. As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing construction plant equipment to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair construction plant equipment, including small tools, generators, pumps, diggers, excavators, rollers, telehandlers, and forklifts.
  • Diagnose faults, service, and repair equipment within a workshop environment.
  • Ensure all equipment is repaired efficiently and within the agreed time scale.
  • Fill out paperwork correctly and offer assistance to the team as needed.
Requirements:
  • NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent in plant maintenance.
  • Previous mechanical plant experience is essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Full UK clean driving licence.
