Position: Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)
Service Type: Out of Hours
Compensation: Day: £48, Night: £52, Saturday: £52, Sunday: £58
Role Overview:
The ACP will deliver a high-quality service for minor injuries and illnesses to patients visiting the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) as an independent and self-sufficient practitioner. You will be supported by a collaborative team of Nurses and General Practitioners. Leadership responsibilities may include mentoring band six staff and student Emergency Nurse Practitioners, contributing to their training, growth, and oversight.
Shift Patterns:
This position encompasses a range of shift schedules, primarily covering weekends, evenings, and overnight hours, with some weekday shifts.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication abilities, effective self-management skills, and a proven track record as an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner in the field of minor injury and illness care.
Familiarity with Adastra is essential, as completion of training in this system will be required prior to commencement. If mobile shifts are part of your role, a valid driver's license will be necessary for insurance purposes.
Applicants should be capable of consulting with patients across all age groups, including pediatric cases.
Required documentation includes: CV, V300 Prescriber evidence, Minor Injury Level 7 certification, Minor Illness Level 7 certification, DBS check, identification, immunization records, and current mandatory training.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in the following areas would be advantageous: Evidence of X-Ray Competencies, proficiency in suturing, experience in palliative care, and certification in catheterization for both male and female patients.
