Role Overview
The Advanced Clinical Practitioner will deliver high-quality care for minor injuries and illnesses to patients at the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) as an independent and self-sufficient professional. This role is supported by a collaborative team of Nurses and General Practitioners. Leadership responsibilities may include mentoring band six nurses and student Emergency Nurse Practitioners, contributing to their training, oversight, and professional growth.
This position encompasses a range of shift patterns, primarily focusing on weekends, evenings, and overnight hours, with some weekday shifts.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must possess exceptional communication abilities, demonstrate effective self-management, and exhibit proficiency as an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner in the field of minor injury and illness care.
Familiarity with Adastra is essential, as completion of Adastra training is required prior to commencement.
For those willing to undertake mobile shifts, a valid driver's license must be provided to ensure proper insurance coverage for operating service vehicles.
Applicants should be capable of consulting with patients across all age groups, including pediatric cases.
Required documentation includes: CV, V300 Prescriber certification, Minor Injury Level 7, Minor Illness Level 7, DBS check, identification, immunization records, and current mandatory training certifications.
Preferred Experience
Experience in the following areas will be advantageous: Evidence of X-Ray competencies, proficiency in suturing, experience in palliative care, and catheterization skills/certification for both male and female patients.
