West London NHS Trust seeks dedicated clinicians to join a pioneering Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) service for young people in Hounslow, Ealing, and Hammersmith & Fulham.
This unique opportunity allows you to contribute to a brand-new service focused on providing comprehensive support to young individuals aged 12 to 18 who are experiencing persistent self-harm, suicidal behavior, and emotional dysregulation.
As part of this specialized team, you will receive intensive DBT training from British Isles DBT in November. This collaborative approach ensures a strong foundation in evidence-based practices for working with young people facing complex mental health challenges.
Your Role:- Deliver specialist DBT services to users of the WL CAMHS DBT Service, including assessment and intervention for referred young individuals.
- Contribute to service evaluation, policy development, and research related to self-harm and emotional dysregulation within a dynamic team environment.
- Provide clinical supervision, teaching, and consultation as needed, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Maintain the highest standards of clinical practice in treatment modalities for children and young people at the DBT service.
- Manage your own caseload, offering specialized DBT interventions and skills training groups for young individuals and their parents/caregivers.
- Collaborate effectively with schools, social services, and other local/national services to ensure integrated practice and seamless service delivery.
