About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Finance Manager to join our team at E.ON UK. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial and strategic objectives of our E.ON Next Pillar.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the analysis and accounting of energy revenue and cost of sales to ensure rigorous gross margin accounting practices are embedded.
  • Support the preparation of forecasts, target setting, budgets, and 5-year plans, gathering inputs from the business and reporting outcomes and commentary.
  • Ensure accurate costing activities are reflected in the forecast, with changes to assumptions monitored, valued, and communicated.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to produce and monitor growth and portfolio dynamics.
  • Work with the Data Team to improve Gross Margin data integrity, accuracy, and granularity, using quality structured datasets to provide business insight and visibility.
  • Provide financial advice and insight to business leaders for improved gross margin.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate effectively.
  • Drive process improvements and digitalise and automate activity with the Transformation team.
Requirements
  • Experience working in Retail Energy Industry on Gross Margin.
  • Experience modelling financial and non-financial data.
  • Highly numerate and able to articulate complex ideas at Executive level.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of solving complex business problems.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with often changing demands.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity.
