About the Role

Ambitious about Autism is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Governance Assistant to join our Finance and Planning team. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional administrative support to our Trustees, Governors, and senior management, ensuring the smooth operation of our governance processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meeting Coordination: Arrange and coordinate Board and Committee meetings, ensuring all necessary materials are prepared and distributed in a timely manner.
  • Minute Taking: Accurately record and distribute meeting minutes, maintaining confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of our overall policy framework, ensuring policies are up-to-date, comprehensive, and regularly reviewed.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and identify potential risks, advising the Director of Finance and Planning and Head of Compliance accordingly.
  • Confidentiality and Security: Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive information, adhering to our data protection policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in providing executive support to senior posts, with a strong understanding of governance processes and procedures.
  • Administrative Skills: Excellent administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with Trustees, Governors, and senior management.
  • Discretion and Confidentiality: High levels of discretion and confidentiality, with the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
