Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to join our client on a long-term temporary assignment. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and resolving quality issues within the supplied parts landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve quality issues within the supplied parts landscape, following defined processes to raise Initial Complaint Reports and Supplier 8D landscape requests.
- Verify that quality instructions, level 0 activities, and work instructions issued for quality issues are correct.
- Ensure problem landscapes are clearly communicated to suppliers and engage with Quality Management Parts (QMTs) and supplier representatives to steer problem resolution.
- Progress the PQM landscape to closure in line with defined processes and supported by the Supplier 8D landscape.
- Guarantee third-party sorting actions onsite are dealt with efficiently and effectively, and containment activity is transferred to suppliers as quickly as possible.
- Provide cross-functional support to process partners with respect to problem analysis and module meetings, ensuring clear communication of quality topics within the organization.
Requirements:
- Possession of an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent education.
- Proven capability to apply quality problem-solving tools efficiently.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use basic measuring equipment.
- Electronic expertise (E&E) is essential for the role.
- Successful candidates will possess an intimate understanding of components within vehicles, such as head units, display units, ECUs, and software networks.
- An ideal candidate will have experience working on a test bench/test suite.
