We are a leading Global Private Markets firm, and we are looking for a talented Legal Counsel to support our Private Equity business. In this role, you will be responsible for drafting and negotiating legal documentation related to private equity investments and clients. You will work closely with the Legal team and manage various legal tasks to support our Private Equity business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate legal documentation for private equity investments, including fund formation and investment agreements.
- Manage outside counsel for new fund formations and investment activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
- Review legal due diligence materials, including financial statements and other relevant documents.
- Monitor existing investment portfolio and manage dispositions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist senior attorneys in fund formation and structuring, including drafting and negotiating fund documents.
- Supervise paralegals for various legal matters, including document review and due diligence.
- Collaborate with investment, finance, and compliance teams to ensure seamless execution of private equity transactions.
- Work on special projects as needed, including developing and implementing legal processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Law degree with good academic track record and relevant experience in private markets fund formation.
Required Skills:
- Effective communication and time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong sense of integrity and accountability, with a focus on achieving results.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including investment, finance, and compliance.
