Job Title: Ward Manager - Paediatric Assessment Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ward Manager to lead our Paediatric Assessment Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of nurses and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The Ward Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Ensuring the effective management of resources to deliver a high-quality service
  • Working closely with Paediatricians and multi-disciplinary teams to provide a high-quality, cost-effective, patient-focused service
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the safe and effective delivery of patient care
  • Managing the development and performance of nursing staff to ensure safe patient care delivery and promote patient experience
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Nursing or equivalent experience
  • Current NMC registration
  • Teaching, assessing, and mentoring qualifications
  • Leadership or management training
  • Experience of working in a paediatric setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
