Ward Manager

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled Ward Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall management of our Care of the Elderly ward, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the development of our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide professional leadership and management to the ward team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the development of our nursing staff.
- Collaborate with the Matron and other senior leaders to develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce length of stay.
- Lead the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Ensure the effective management of the ward budget and resources, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within budget.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of 6 months' experience in a Care of the Elderly or Frailty ward.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of managing a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of clinical governance and its application, with experience of developing and implementing evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to work at multiple sites.
