Job Title: Apprentice- General Engineering

At M Group Services Limited T/A Magdalene Limited, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing our technical engineering resource, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of multi-skilled project engineers, ensuring clear line of sight between delivery and design outputs.
  • Provide leadership to sub-contract design and project engineering, ensuring compliance to CDM 2015 under Principal Contractor/Designer obligations.
  • Ensure the required levels of resource are available to meet project commitments, including recruiting or sourcing external resources if required.
  • Develop and implement effective project management plans, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with senior/project managers to ensure the latest project priorities are understood and resource is aligned appropriately.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in either telecoms or other utility industries.
  • Experience of leading an engineering team.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate well at all levels internally and externally.
  • A good appreciation of Project Management principles including project planning/scheduling and budgetary management.
