About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at Vision for Education - Huddersfield. As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting primary-aged pupils with additional needs in a variety of settings across Kirklees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support primary-aged pupils with additional needs in a variety of settings across Kirklees.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Provide one-on-one support to pupils with complex needs, including ASD, PMLD, Complex needs, Mobility, SEMH, and MLD.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, as well as maintaining accurate records of pupil progress.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each pupil's needs.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play, or care setting.
  • Hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
  • Ability to drive/commute to various sites in Kirklees.
