Are you a devoted and creative Teaching Assistant who is currently looking for a full time role?

Do you feel confident supporting and developing children with Additional Learning Needs?

Do you have experience working with children on a one to one basis?

TeacherActive are looking for qualified or highly experienced Teaching Assistants to work within our Primary settings around Cardiff. The successful candidates will need to either have a Teaching Assistant qualification or have at least 6 months experience within a classroom setting. You will be supporting pupils that have Additional Learning Needs / ALN. Your role will be paramount in helping students enhance their skills and therefore experience working previously with Additional Learning Needs is crucial for this role. Specific experience working with autism or speech language and communication would be advantageous. You will be expected to fully submerge yourself into school life becoming a part of the family, ensuring you’re creating a home from home environment for your pupils.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or at least 6 months experience within a classroom setting
A passion for having an influence on making a difference to young people’s learning
Ability to get stuck in with the children creating a fun learning environment for all
A caring, positive approach to working with young children
A good knowledge of the Child Protection / Safeguarding procedures
